This may be wrong, but I allow my yorkie to sleep beside the bed on her bed. I turn all the lights off except the bathroom light, her pad is in there and she uses it. I also have one in the bedroom where it's dark closer to her, but she passes it up and goes to the light.
Now another thing that may be wrong, I keep down pads everywhere so if she's in another room with me she has the option to pee. My house is big, and for her to get back to her original pad would be a long travel. Puppies usually go as soon as it hits them.
If she's ever found a corner and went, I have a pad there as well. Some little nestled quiet dark corners they are prone to, so I feel like having that pad there still reminds her to go only on a pad.
This training may be wrong to dog trainers, but for her she only goes on a pad, but yes; I probably have 15 throughout my house.
I have a large 5 bedroom home and I'm all over the place all day in it, and she's my little shadow, this is why I do so many pads. |
