Omg Respiratory problems, help please!

Hi,
My pup Sebastian seems to be having respiratory problems: I read a few articles, blogs about yorkies who tend to have allergies, bronchitis, collapsed tracheas etc. It seems to only act up in the afternoon/evening time and I think it is from the heat. We have the AC on most of the day but for some reason his wheezing lately has worried me a bit. Should I be worried and take him to the vet or should I just keep a close eye on him for a little longer? My grandma watches him during the day and she says that he doesn't breathe heavily at all during the daytime but when I come home, perhaps from the excitement his breathing acts up and then it takes hours and hours to go back to normal... has this happened to anyone before?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
