I wouldn't get puppies shots till they were 16 weeks old, then I would make sure the Vet. gave them in very small doses spread over a few months. I also only have them vaccinated for Rabies every three years, and nothing more.
My 16 year old Chihuahua had a reaction to her very first shot and I wouldn't let her have anymore for the rest of her life. Course I never took her to dog parks and the like either. I don't take my Yorkies to dog parks either. They only get Rabies every three years too.
