If you change the language, older animals, or those with treatable medical conditions may be euthanized by shelters before their families even realize they’ve gotten loose. This law could have disastrous consequences for New Jersey’s pets and owners alike. Please veto it immediately. Animal-lovers across the country are watching New Jersey; show them you care about protecting the state’s pets, and leave the mandatory hold period as it now stands.
