Don't forget to double the normal vet expenses, heart worm meds, flea preventatives, grooming, toys
. It's expensive, but if you feel you can do it I say go for it. If you do get your heart set on one and it falls through, just remember that it's because "your" baby is still waiting for you to find him/her.
