Bitsy's Mom - I also wanted to add that the vet tried Piccolo with just the Pentoxyphilline for the first week, because of my wishes. But because of the length of time she had gone untreated, she needed some pretty strong doses of predinose, so started that medicine the second week. The good news is all of this treatment worked and she has been in remission for at least three years. So, just wanted to give you some positive thoughts about the future for Emee. |
Knowing your experience has given my great reassurance. I also realize that this might take a while so to have patience. We stayed away from the predinose since Emee got so sick from it when she first got the sore. We are going to watch closely over the next 6 weeks and see if the dark spots start to lessen. If they don't, we will then do the biopsy. The vet was pretty confident that the meds will do the trick. I will also be talking with my vet today to get her thoughts since she knows Emee so well.
Thanks again for all the info and help.
