eddiesmom,

I AGREE on the Water ! I have the ability to put up about 40 gl in Portable Containers. When we think things are going to go sour, I can fill them up, and stack them just inside the Garage. I have a Whole House Filtering System, so it's pretty good stuff, even at a few weeks old.

Another thing (still stressing Water) I bought a "carton" (24 bottles) of Water, and set them in the bottom of our Freezer. They can be set out into one of the Coolers, or separated out for drinking should we have to pack up. Plus, in their frozen state, they support the food stuffs which we would pack and take. (HA, instant Ice Water)

Things like this, and I really like the Back Roads reference you made, are really terrific hints toward a more comfortable existence when a Storm comes. If only people would take time to read through this thread, there are numerous little tips like we've mentioned, which are so important.

I'm probably repeating this, but I really like the design and function.
This link is to a Portable Waterer which is Slosh Proof, great for the vehicle. I'm thinking about getting a second and making it an IceCube.
