I don't think you're crazy at all. I would do the same thing if I was leaving my pups with anyone. My parents also would leave very detailed instructions for my sister when she would petsit for their dog and cat every summer. I think that it helps you to have peace of mind that your baby will be taken care of the way you want him to be while you are gone.
