i've had mine escape from a D-ring vest by the velcro coming undone. i will put them on clothing if buyers want them but do no suggest walking dogs by their d-ring clothing alone. i prefer a tough and sturdy harness and to put clothing on over it if I want them. i know the D-ring is sewn in very solid and reliable, just not always 100% reliable velcro closures.
