We stopped using collars when our Peach got her little lower jaw hooked under her collar and was choking herself. I heard a strange noise from upstairs and found her hacking, drooling and choking. The collar was pulled too tight to unbuckle, so my quick-thinking hubby grabbed the scissors and cut it off. Whew! Makes me shiver just thinking about it.
So glad Zach is on the mend.
