Default Head Tremors

On Dec 23 when I arrived home at noon, my Buddy did not come greet me. He finally staggered out of his kennel (open door to baby gated kitchen) and stood there with his head bobbing; he had trouble walking, did not kiss me and then curled up in a ball. I rushed him to the vet who advised I would probably need to travel to another Province (PEI) 6 hours away, the only place they do neurological testing. She kept Buddy to do a few blood tests to rule out some things. To make a long story short, I got to pick him up at 5:00pm, the head tremors had stopped, blood tests were all within normal ranges and although he was quite docile, he showered me with kisses. On Dec 28th, we took him back for a bile test to rule out Liver Shunts - again nothing showed up. I was so happy to have been off 10 days for the Xmas break and was able to watch him, my every waking hour. He has been fine ever since. In consultation with 2 Dr.s at the Vet and the PEI Veterinary Hosptial, their only suggestion was that he could have had a head trauma in the kitchen while we were gone (knocked his head on his kennel or kitchen wall as there is nothing else in there) or pehaps he ate something. He does go out into the yard and plays and digs, which he does every morning before we leave for work. This was very scary as you can imagine and Buddy seems totally fine now although it is scary not knowing what happened but reassuring to have all these blood tests done which indicate he is a healthy puppy. Has anyone else had this happen to their puppy?
