This is sooooo fun!!!! Thanks y'all for letting us know we can feed them veg. and fruits!!!! Thought we could but some told us no!! THANKS again!!!!
Hugs to you all for helping us new Yorkie owners!!!!
Ozzie eats cooked broccoli. In fact, it is one of his favorites. I'm guessing you probably could give them raw broccoli but I'd limit it because of gas.

Grapes and raisins are the only no-no I ever heard but I heard caution about potatos. (Starches in abundance are bad -- true for people, too!)

You need to be careful, too, with citrus-y fruits (oranges, tangerine, lemons, limes, grapefruit) and even with strawberries and blueberries. All have acid content which can erode tooth enamel and sometimes upset tummies!

For meats, turkey (white ONLY), chicken and lean ground beef are best options. And brown rice is a great choice. White rice is not optimal.

All things in moderation. Those are the guidelines we've always followed. I wouldn't completely change a diet overnight; introduce change gradually and always, always, always talk to your vet!

Thanks for all the kind words. Good luck giving your furbabies nature's goodies!
