I dont reccomand using the D-ring on clothes.
I did it once with a vest on Fido (he's 14 pounds and does not pull much) and it broke just in the first walk !
I just use a collar when he's in clothes or harness over the clothes that is in the same color as the clothes, then it doesnt ''stand out'' as much, most often I just use a collar he's big and with a strong neck I even use martingale collars for him its fine.
