When I brought Chloe home we kept her on Royal Canin the same as our breeder. I also gave Chloe Nutri-Cal. It isn't vital to give them suppliments I just preferred to add a little extra into her diet and she loved the stuff

Congrats on your little one! I have always had dogs but Chloe is my first Yorkie and I have never had this strong of a bond with any other pup. They are such wonderful little dogs. I hope to see some pics of the little cutie soon.

Got to be careful with the Nutri-cal, its Corn syrup, which is just sugar that enters the bloodstream fast. Dogs and humans love it, but it can promote the pancreas to create too much insulin and actually cause a hypoglycemic event. Protein should always follow within 20 minutes Nutri-cal to prevent another hypoglycemic episode. If your dog is actively experiencing low blood sugar, Nutri-cal can be a life saver.
