No, just water. All dog foods have more than the minimum daily requirements, some just may have better quality proteins and things like that. Joey's breeder recommended free feeding, meaning having food available all the time the first 6 months because toy breeds are susceptible to hypoglycemia which is low blood sugar. So if food is always available, they aren't as likely to get hypoglycemia. Food becomes more of an issue of you puppy develops allergies, or if it has any special problems. Allergies don't usually develop the first year though.
