Jenn - I worked in x-ray for more than 30 years and have seen hundreds of stomach and colon x-rays. Gas is just air. You almost never see an x-ray of anyone's intestines without seeing some air.

If there is a blockage in the intestine - any air behind it will become loculated meaning that it can't move. This also shows up on an x-ray.

But - the point is that the air - itself - is not a problem. To some extent, it is perfectly normal. And if there is a mass or blockage, this is what the problem is - not the air.

Sounds like you have gone through a lot. And I think your vet (large animal vet) did a wonderful job. As I mentioned before - the problem your little guy is not uncommon with larger animals or eveb people. So - your vet was familiar with your pup's symptoms and what tests and procedures needed to be done.

I'm glad that things have finally worked out (no pun intended)!!!!!
