Awww, that is so very sad!! but as her friend you tried..you did what any good friend would do and you shouldn't feel any guilt...In the end the decision was hers to make, and she will be the one living with the guilt.
I feel the flight alone will stress her girl out so much, that she will abort the pups, by absorbing them all or she will go into early labor and eat them.
A mother dog who feels stressed out due to a sudden change in environment, such as a flight or even boarding will abort, so her body can deal with the unnecessary stress. It is believed that when a mother aborts due to environmental stress it is done to protect the puppies.
