Good advice. Mikki and Rosie will play and they are nipping and growling. However, you know the difference when it is a fight. I do not ever hit them. I will say stop it! And separate them.
I think sleeping on it is a good idea. Maybe you could discuss this with mom once the situation has cooled down. Let her know how you feel about it. I understand her protecting Sammy; however, she needs to keep your feelings in mind too. You might suggest in the future to separate the two of them instead of hitting.
