I used a onesie and cut a hole in it as shown in the picture below. To explain what you are seeing, this portion of the onesie is the part that is between the end of her back and would go over her bum, through her back legs, and snap to the end of her tummy. If you were holding the onesie up by the shoulders and looking at the back of it with the snaps undone, this would be the part that hangs down at the bottom. At the top of the hole is where her tail would be. This leaves her tail, anus and genitals exposed, but the snaps are still there to secure to the lower front of the onesie and keep it pulled down to protect the incision.

Be sure to buy a size that will still be a little loose, you wouldn't want it to rub on any stitches / incision.

This is easier than the cone, and still allows the incision to be protected from any licking or dirt/bacteria should they want to lay on the floor or grass.
