They didn't wait on me IE get my drink, refill it, appetizer, meal, clean off dirty plates, etc. They walked to the back, grabbed a bag someone else prepared and handed it to me. |

I hate the whole tipping system. We do tip when we eat out, get haircuts, etc but I really do not think a person should be expected to tip for someone doing what they were hired to do. If you work customer service, it is part of your JOB to be nice to customer and to make them as satisfied as possible.
We once order chinese food to be delivered. Not only did the guy park in our yard instead of the lane we lived on (dead end, no busy traffic at that time of night) but it took a good while to get our food. When dh gave him the money and a small tip, he asked if that was all he was tipping. Not sure if dh gave more or not. |
I agree to some of the points. The to go person didn't do anything but grab the bag, but if it's a place i frequent and they remember me and to double check my order for my extra this, and no that, then I tip on occasion. I am going to guess that the cooks makes more money, that's why they don't get tips?
But the chinese food delivery guy, omg!
