I think an only Yorkie, would be perfectly happy to have all the people attention. You can spoil and pamper one Yorkie, because they do not have to, grow up, go to college, get a job or do anything in the world . They can stay an only furkid forever. But add just one more, then they must share attention and so on. Yes dogs are pack animals but, I don't think they are always happier when the pack (family) includes other dogs. We are the Pack leader so it is up to us to decide how many members we have. When I ah... aw.. over a sweet little puppy, My friend laughs and says ' remember Yorkies are not like shoes, they can not be exchanged, replaced, stuck in a closet,or given away, because you fell in love with cute and didn't check to see if they really fit.' I love my babies and wouldn't give one up for anything. I grudgingly admit my life was easier when I had one, I mean two, ah.. I think three was when.... sigh........ |
I hope if you wont mind if I simply agree with you. I have 6 dogs, most are now middle aged and acquiring health issues, one is 15,large and decreped but so not ready to not be here, one is a baby. Would I do it again no, do I regret acquiring so many, some of which are actual brothers, absolutely NOT. As long as you realize that several babys at the same time will become old together as well and may become ill at the same time and you are prepared to still care for them, then yes it works. But like anything else it comes with pleasure and difficulty. |
