A long time ago, a friend told me, "I don't condone child abuse, but now I understand it." He was talking about his newborn daughter that he loved as much as life itself. The baby had colic, was tiny, and seemed not to be comforted. She cried nearly non stop for the first few months. New Yorkie parents are no different. What is different is that it is socially acceptable to turn in a challenging puppy but not a child. The person who adopts a Yorkie does not intend to abandon the baby -- no more so than people who marry intend to divorce. I don't know what the answer is, but I can't stomach the slaughter... What IS the answer...? I only know the question. |
