I don't think there's anything wrong with giving treats that may be on the lower end of the list as long as you're feeding a good quality food. I'm just a "food nut" and prefer to feed my dog all natural treats, most if not all that are made in the usa as well.
ON a daily basis my boys eat Taste of the Wild food. Its a very high quality food bc I want them eating the best as well too! Its worth the extra $ to me! But treats, believe it or not, Ive tried every treat under the sun that I could find and they won't eat them. The only treat Ive been able to give them consistently are Milk Bones. I talked to my vet about them and she said as long as I don't over do it with the treats (they get 1 a day in the morning when I go to work) they are fine. These chewnola bones are a once every 2 weeks to a month type treat. I buy a bag of 10 at BJs and it lasts 6 month with 2 boys. My brothers dog broke into the house and ate them all in 45 mins so I have no more for the boys but was going to buy some more. Just wanted opinions.
