I am so sorry that you and your family have to go through this. I can not believe that your school takes these matters so lightly. Especially in this day and age. I would go to the police, the principle, the superintendent, I would also contact the media if the school thinks that this is "really" nothing. My son is also in the 7th grade and his jr. high has a zero tolerance program. They would investigate the situation and the child responsible would permanently be removed from the school and his parents required to go to counseling with him/her. Try to explain how important it is to your son that if he knows who is responsible for writing this note he must say something. How about talking to his friends parents, maybe he said something to one of his friends about the note and they know who it is?
