Even if I just put the shakes in my body during the day; I'm thinking this could help.
My weight is just getting out of control an I hate it. |
My mom sells/consumes the Herbalife shakes. I promise you, I will not give you a biased review.
As far as taste goes, I think they are nasty! Everyone raves about the cookies and cream shake, but it was too chaulky and not sweet for my taste. Needless to say, I will not be consuming them. My taste buds rule over my desires to eat healthy.
As far as nutrition goes, they are actually pretty good. I took a class with a registered dietitian. I had her look at the label, and it is pretty balanced as a meal replacement.
If this helps any, my dad is epileptic and takes strong medication to control the seizures. The medicine is so strong, it was starting to ruin his liver. He's not a drinker, unless you count the few times he has the communion wine.

He started with the shakes, and then completely changed his eating habits. He is so healthy now! He was able to find a balance between the drugs and nutrition. He still takes the Herbalife supplements, and has a shake in the morning everyday. When he's lazy, or doesn't have an appetite for food, he has a shake. The man recovered from hernia surgery in 2 weeks and has no scar! The surgeons were surprised at just how clean his body is.
I personally could never live like that. I love food too much, and as someone else said, my brain does not tell me when to stop. I'm a very greedy eater. What I did was download an app to my iPod, and it holds me accountable for what I eat. So far, I lost about 20 lbs.

I've been "off the wagon" this month because my boyfriend is visiting from South America. He'll be gone after next week.

No more eating out and no more extra calories!
