Mine do it all the time. They can be peacefully coexisting one second and then sound like they are about ready to kill each other the next. As long as you are able to get them to pay attention to you with a touch or a word (I can stick my face right up to Scarlett and she will lick me before going back to attacking Rhett), then I say let them play. They know how far they can go before it turns "real" . I know in our house, it lasts for a few minutes and then they are back to sleeping next to each other again.
