Plus, since he is tired I am not sure he realizes it is not just my petting him. Abby, well, you would think I was pulling her toenails out every time I try to brush her. I talk to them the entire time and give them a little treat when they are done, but I am wondering if there is a better brush that they will like?
My other yorkies have always liked being brushed. They are not matted and I can get the brush thru their coats, but I really wish they would relax and enjoy being brushed. |
My Lucy always just tolerated being brushed before I got her the CC brush. When she would see me go for the old brush, she would cower and run immediately to her crate, and I would have to disassemble it to get her out. Then I would put her on my lap and brush her. She would always let me... But if I paused for any longer than a second without giving a 'stay' command, she'd try to slink off of my lap, and then back to the crate she would go, poor baby

But that changed the very first time I used the CC! For the first time ever, she actually relaxed in my arms during grooming. Now I can brush her while she sprawls out on the couch sleeping and it doesn't faze her (at least not until I start juggling her around, trying to get her other side, lol).
BUT... All that being said, I have never tried the Madan. I wonder if Heath would COMPLETELY freak if I bought a few more brushes and combs? Just to keep around the house
