I just checked him out and hes laying on the couch with my fiance, they both look to be sleeping quite fine. Herc got up and had his les stuck far out like he was stretching so i pet him and then he laid his head back down and slep again. Ill watch him today and see if hes got any signs of pain or swelling.
The vet said you can pay for an xray if you want but im certain its not going to turn up anything. She said it would be a waste of money because theres nothing broken.
She said the good thing about puppies is they are very durable to falls and incidental injuries, they heal fast and can take a lot of punishment though sometimes they are pretty vocal about it.
I think im going to shop for a helmet for him today because we have had him 1 week and this is my 2nd omg wtf do i do moment. The other, he fell down 3 stairs when he decided he was ready for stairs but after the first stair realized he wasnt ready.
Luckily no stairs at my house and ive put pillows all around the couch in case he tries to jump off. |
Ah, this takes me back to when Neo was a pup! I wish I'd have known that there is actually a website that has tiny helmets for our babies. I believe it is RockStarPups and they carry all kinds of cute stuff.
We used to have all kinds of OMG/WTF moments at first, but Neo and us survived! Every time something happens, it makes you more aware and cautious and careful. Just keep the vet on speed dial, lol!
