First let me say this is a great thread first about my son...17 year old ...cystic acne as well. Dermatologist also wanted him on Isotretinoin..I to am afraid of the side effects. My son had the blood work done last week and failed....ast and alt enzymes elevated. My son doesnt drink or do any body buliding drugs...so now i am VERY worried. We repeat blood work in one week.


Myself taking Doxycyline for what derm says is rosacea....but it looks nothing like any pictures I have ever seen of rosacea. I tried multiple creams before this script. So far not impressed but only been on for a couple of weeks...derm says give it a month.

Very frustrating..had perfect skin when I was younger
