I have to mention, too, that we plan on buying a house soon (now in a townhouse with postage stamp sized yard), and we won't be letting Ozzy out in the yard by himself even if its fenced. In the area we live in there are too many wild animals around, including hawks, eagles, large cats, and coyotes. I've lost 2 house cats now to coyotes (the last cat was indoor only, but managed to sneak out undetected
). Ozzy will be off leash in our yard, but will still always be supervised.
