For a yorkie puppy it is always reccomended to get them at 12 weeks old or older. I did not know this, and brought home Suzi when she was going on 9weeks. She is a little over 3yrs old now. Something that she still does is "suckle" on her blankets . She puts holes in them. I always thought that she was weaned too early.
I think a lot of these unwanted behaviors can be advoided if the puppy is allowed to stay with it's littermates and mother for the reccomended time.
