The vet suspects a possible fracture and it was not xrayed? I would get that done soon...and if it is fractured, those front legs do not heal with a splint. He will need an orthopedic surgeon for it. I have seen vets try to splint them and the pups ending up needing a plate and screws...and sometimes losing legs if they let it go too long. Very bad place for a fracture.
