My current job is sort of like it, but at my company I'm considered "senior" and I applied for a "junior" position (desperate to leave!). In most other companies, I'd be considered "intermediate" just based on years of experience.
That's what I thought about a range too, I don't want to give them the option to give me the lowest possible. It seems silly to give a bottom and top end because who is really going to not want more than that top end? "Okay, I'll take 55,000, but if you offer me 100,000, NO WAY" haha

I know that I'm applying for a lower position so I will not make as much as I'm making now, but I can't afford to go a whole lot lower. Changing jobs also means finding someone who will come to our home and express Layla once a day, every weekday. We will have to pay for that (if we can find someone!) We live a half hour out of town (and longer with traffic) so it's not feasible to go home ourselves to do it.

I'm worried that if I say a certain number, if it's too high, they will just not even interview me.
