I'm wondering if anyone has used any of the "doggie septic systems" such as the Dooley or similar? We have two small dogs now and would like to add one more soon. Currently, we pick up the poop with a hand-held jaw scoop and have a plastic bag handy.

This is quite "smelly" especially during this heat wave we are having. I'm wondering how well these septic systems work and do they emit an odor? How far away from outdoor living areas do they need to be placed?

I would welcome suggestions for 'yard management' with multiple dogs.
