Logan's starting to do that too. He's 8 months old now and for the past couple weeks he's been a lot more loving. He wants to be near us and be held more and petted. I absolutely love it. He'll lay on me when he chews his bone, but he will just lay near my husband. On the way back from my hubby's family he refused to lay back in the back seat. We had made it up for him with his toys and bed, but he wanted to lay on the counsel or on one of our laps. He was always very independent, not unfriendly, just not a cuddler. So I love that he's becoming more of a lap dog now.
Edited to say that my little love bug is 10lbs (I just consider it practice for when and if I ever have a baby).
