I know what you mean by being drawn to it. I just like to see the different animals. I searched for my Yorkie for months and have to admit I was contacted many times with scams. It's so sad. One guy showed me a picture of 'Suzie' she was priced at..are you ready for this..only $200. His ad was in the Mobile are but of course he wasnt near there, he first asked where I was located (first clue). I told him it didnt matter, I'd drive to meet her. He said he was in Ohio. I told him I'd be there that Friday and could he recommend a pet friendly hotel so I can take her with me. Of course I never heard again til Saturday and he said we can set another time for me to meet her BUT FIRST I SHOULD SEND HIM $100 to take her off 'adoption list' LOL. REALLY, SCAMMER MAN?
The other one that stood out was the one listed in Gulfport, close to me, but he and his two baby yorkies were in Africa and the dogs were suffering in the heat and really needed to get out of there. for $100 I could have them both AND SHIPPED AT THAT PRICE.
Disgusting
So now I just read. It's so very sad that the truth is, a caring owner/breeder wouldnt list on Craigslist.
