If it is something contagious, you are going to have to make a decision. Either find someone else to watch the other dog or have them both treated. It just seems to coincidental that the baldness only started after you started watching the other dog. The odds of both of them having a non-infectious condition that causes them to loose hair seems pretty astronomical, though it can happen.
