My alarm wakes us all up at 5:00 on work days. On the weekends or summer break, Ivan wakes me up at 6:30 like clockwork by laying next to me and resting his paws on my chest as he stretches across me. If I pet him for a minute or two then he will usually go back to sleep until I'm ready to get up (no later than 7:00 or 7:30). But if Iris hears that her brother and Mommy are up then she comes up and bounces around, wants pets, and stomps her feet until we are all up and on the way to getting her breakfast. Then they will usually go back to sleep, but, of course, I'm usually wide awake by then. This is the first summer since I haven't been crating them at night. I love waking up like this. |
