Again, if we all treated each other with respect, and was treated with respect the "issues" would not be such a big deal. I really don't understand why some people think that rules don't apply to them, not just with dogs but other stuff as well. I think it is a "etiquette" issue.

As to treating dogs like children. I have children, now I have an empty nest. Remy, Bailey and Sammy are my children. They are not as important as humans of course, but they give me love and I will not have to pay for their college!!!!!
My comment above was not saying that it's not ok to treat a dog like a child or love them like little furry kids too. I love my dogs more than a lot of people love their kids even, but to argue as was done above that someone should be allowed to be shopping with their dogs when they are allowed with their kids is silly. dogs simply aren't children. sometimes they fill a void like children would and sometimes they replace having children by choice or not by choice, but they aren't able to go in stores because they are NOT human beings so saying they are children to you doesn't mean anything to a store manager/owner.

BTW this isn't to argue with the person who i've quoted i'm just showing that lots of us love our dogs and they fill a void somehow. mine sure did for us until we decided to have a baby. i'm just quoting as an example of that love and devotion to a dog. but stating that i don't think they should give people an automatic "IN" in a store that says NO.
