My Riley is just turning 14 months and still has his puppy coat..... I too have noticed that just within the last couple of weeks, down by his legs where the color changes from tan to black, the color is starting to break.... It is coming in that Steel Blue color underneath..... His Daddy was that Steel Blue on his Saddle and his Mommy kind of kept her Black Saddle, but had some Steel Blue around her neck area. - They say it can take up to 2 - 3 years before they have all of their true coloring. I have been taking Lots of pics.
