We had a similar situation with a pit bull puppy from our next door neighbors. They got this sweet little pit bull and would let her run EVERYWHERE and no owners in sight. She was the sweetest thing - actually every time she saw my two crazy dogs, she'd roll over and let them walk on her. My fear for her, in addition to getting hit by a car, was her getting picked up by someone who has this fear of all pit bulls and getting killed because of her breed. They ended up moving away, so I don't know what happened to her. I don't have any advice but, I really hope these people get it together for the sake of their little yorkie.
