They dont do extensive interviews or home visits. The conditions at the only rescue here in town aren't the best either, over crowded and not enough funds, living in kennels being fed ol' roy and not getting daily attention because the lack the money to pay for workers and volunteers are few and far. Of course I'd give him for free if I find the right home where I think he'd be perfectly off.

...She's been around gunshots, boats, horses, etc and she runs ALL day. Pooter however tires after a 20 minute slow walk, he loves to sleep and lay at someone's feet and cuddle in bed...
...He's slept with me while my husband been gone, he's cuddled me to sleep when I've had a bad day/night, you don't think that makes me sad to think about...

I left him with a friend for a month while I went to Iowa, when I came back he barked at me for a good 5 or more minutes and even tried nipping me when I went to pick him up, he's NEVER done that... you think that made me feel like a good owner? Being gone and leaving him alone so long he almost forgot who I was?...

Okay, since Rhett's Momma perked up, to H-E-double hockey sticks with being P.C. The following above really stood out to me. Well, it all did but the above most. So, like you tackled the comments, I'll tackle yours.

First off, you stated in your post regarding the $150 for I believe what you said is not alot regarding all the training that you have spent on him? Am I right? Well it came off as you did all this work and a mere $150 is not enough to cover for your time and energy. I'm guessing you wanted it to come off as any bonehead could purchase a dog for $150 and basically treat him like crap, however that's not how it came off when you added the whole time you put into traing poor Pooter.

Second bolded statement, I don't know about dear Canada, eh, but here you literally have to go though basically interrigation to get a rescue/humane society dog. They ask you so many personal questions that I sometimes think adopting an Amiercan child would be easier. So, you've been given alot of rescues that aren't simply in "your town" that feed dogs basically better meals that I'm serving my husband and myself. Use those to your advantage...

Third bolded statement. Wow, this one kind of blows my mind. But, in attempt to be friendly, let me say that Gizmo alot of times can't handle a hot day walking around whatever town were in. But there's this awesome new invention called a pet tote, pet carrier, pet purse, etc. That basically let syou tote the small dog around safely so that he or she can come with you and not slow you and your busy lifestyle down....Heaven forbid a tired dog be an inconvience enough to be gotten rid of.

Last bolded statement, and I'll tell you the same thing that I tell my sister-in-law that's always trying to get rid of my brother's dog...Dog's aren't dumb. They know darn well if you're not connecting with them or willing to give them up. The poor thing has been bounced around from place you place and you wonder why he has trust issues? How could he possibly miss someone that's so willing to give him up? And he senes it, don't think he doesn't know that you'll drop him.

I don't mean to sound harsh, granted my sympathy gauge seems always to be broken, but regardless of your husband's job circumstances, I'm sure you knew what would happen long before poor Pooter, and possibly Tika, came into the picture.
Do what you need to do, but know that simply brushing dog off as an inconvience like you would flick away at a misquito is not going to be condonned here. Hopefully you'll use the websites that have been provided for the sake of Pooter, and for my blood pressure.

Have a flippin' fantastic night cuddling next to the dog that has kept you so much company while your husband has been gone and who you'll discard for being an inconvience.
