In your first post you said it was either Pooter or Tikka that had to go, and it might as well be Pooter. Your reasoning for choosing to give up the Pom is questionable at best.
That sure makes it sound like you can't be bothered with two dogs, so I wonder why you even added a second to your life in the first place.
I agree with Woogie, taking ANY small breed dog into the woods is courting disaster.
Do the right thing and turn both dogs over to a reputable rescue who will put a real effort in to finding homes that can accommodate them for the rest of their lives. You owe both of them that much.
