For the 4th my DD & I are going to hang with my bff. I don't want to bring Princess because 1)she hates bff's dog 2)underground pool worries me 3)not all of the yard is fenced.
I planned on taking her to my parents since we're leaving around 11a til probably 11-12p. Then I wondered about my moms neighbors doing fireworks & they did tonight when we were there and Princess was unfazed. But my mom is having people over, they will be drinking, so I worry about anything related to that like lack of awareness of her or leaving the gate open.
So my question is:
should I leave Princess home or take her to "Grandma's" house? She'd be home almost 12 hours. She's pad trained, always has ample food & water so her physical needs will be met. She's not at risk of hypoglycemia, etc. No fireworks are allowed here so they should be minimal, if any. I'm not driving so I can't come home mid-day.
