Wow! That's a shame. Believe me sections are not somethign to be taken lightly. Not all vets should do them. I have heard horrible stories of vets that just 'butchered' a bitch during a section. I will never forget how fortunate I am to have my vet.
There is some good info posted earlier about preparing a mom for a section, letting her go into labor etc. May want to pass that on to your friend for future reference. Sorry she had such a 'devil' of a time.
