Since he already pooped and peed in his crate, you have to make sure to clean everything and get rid of any smell so that he doesnt go in it anymore. Also, that divider is a great idea. You have to give him only enough space to stand and turn.

About the poop eating problem, I have never dealt with this but I heard pineapple in their food will make their poop undesirable when it comes out.

I never heard of the GNC stuff but I will try Nutri Cal instead. Also only use it if you believe that your dog's sugar is dropping (i.e. his gums are pale, he's lethargic..)
