Yes, I was!! Thank you for asking. We have a large clip that I used to hold the gate to the side of the kennel...works like a charm. She does not mess with the clip at all, I did hear her trying the unhook the latch the 1st morning I used but I guess figured out that mommy outsmarted her this time
