And for many reasons and "personal"circumstances, cannot provide. Sometimes, giving them away is the most loving thing you can do; and our hearts ache. Please know it is our of our love for him, who we call our son & very hard to do what we are doing. Criticisim only makes people shy away from these sites, which can be very helpful, and make them not seek out understanding and guidance for fear of being judged.
This is very sad & I can imagine very hard for you. I commend you for realizing that you can not give your old guy the proper care & attention he needs in his senior yrs. Many people do not realize the time & care these old dogs need & require & you seem to realize that he deserves much more then you can provide for him & know that times a waistin for him. Have you considered trying to find a Reputable Yorkie rescue for him ? as they will work hard to make sure he is placed in a proper home that can meet his needs. You are rite in trying to find him a retirement home & I wish you luck in finding that for him.
