I guess that trimming the fur off the top of the ears takes the weight off the ear so it can stand up easier. It just helps the ear to be strong and develop as it should. I'm not sure about taping them. That sounds dangerous for a puppy. You know how much trouble they can get into in a moments time. It seems to me if you taped them enough that it would not come off under any circumstances it would be very uncomfortable for the puppy. I guess some breeders feel it is worth it though. |
