Tibbe is a big water drinker but the night before his neuter, dentals, etc., I just pull his bowl at midnight and he does just fine. He's not out running and building body heat, etc., and apparently their tummies handle anesthesia better the emptier they are! I'm sure he's a bit dry by the time he gets his water post-op, but he's given an IV during the procedures and that keeps him going until he does. I'll bet your little guy will do just fine. Hope he has a totally uneventful procedure and sails through it all just fine.
